East Los Angeles Occupational Center has been operated over 42 years by the Los Angeles Unified School District, Division of Adult and Career Education. We offer short-term career and technical training, providing individuals with entry-level skills as well as upgrading skills to meet an ever changing job market.
All classes are offered without regard to race, color, national origin, gender or disability. Men and women are encouraged to consider non traditional occupational goals.
ELAOC is a non smoking, alcohol-free and drug-free campus!

Academic Program Information[up]
The program at ELAOC is designed for students with varying educational needs. Students work at their own pace and can enroll at any time.
• Concurrent high school program - high school students may receive high school credits with
written authorization from their high school counselor and parent approval.
• GED test scheduled on campus throughout the school year. The test may be taken in English or
Spanish. The class assists in strengthening academic skills prior to GED test.
• II Lab - earn a High School diploma or strengthen your basic reading and/or math skills.
• CAHSEE preparation - prepare for the California High School Exit Exam.

The East Los Angeles Occupational Center's Book Store is the place where students can purchase their academic support materials. With the support of a computerized inventory system, the staff coordinates the ordering and selling of over 100 academic book titles each semester, as well as stationery items, paperback books of general interest, and class rings.

High School and AEWC Students pay no class/registrations fee.
All Prices are subject to change without notice.
Individuals who meet any of the following criteria are eligible for a fee reduction:
1. 60 years of age or older.
2. Attending classes approved by a counselor for high school diploma credit.
3. Concurrently-enrolled minors.
4. Adults with disabilities, who meet eligibility criteria, are enrolled in Regional Occupational Center classes and
various supportive services authorized under E.C. 52315 or provided by Vocational Educational Acts funds.
5. Recipients of government funding assistance such as CalWORKs, EDD, GAIN, GROW, MEDI-CAL, and TANF.
Fees will be refunded upon request to students who drop classes within seven (7) calendar days following the first day of possible attendance. A $10 drop fee will be assessed per each refund transaction.
Please allow a minimum of 10 days to receive a refund check.
